About this series:
How many of us feel rejuvenated after a walk in Nature? We can feel the freshness of the air, filtered by the trees that take in our carbon dioxide and release oxygen. We notice the sponginess of the detritus and moss underfoot. The rustling of leaves, birds calling, chipmunks and squirrels sounding the alarm that there may be a predator nearby piques our interest. The scent of leaves and bark, especially after a rain becomes heady, like perfume. Most of these things delight and stir the senses, and most of these things are unseen by our limited vision and intuition. There is a pureness to the wilderness that gives us cleansing and healing after we connect with it. All we need to do is be open to the energies it sends us.
And welcome it.
